While we can provide essentially any home interior product for the home, we usually provide window treatments, upholstered furniture and casegoods, accessories, including lighting and area rugs, custom bedding, and lanai furnishings.
At Decorating Den Interiors we specialize in custom window treatments and it has been a focus of ours for over 45 years. We offer a vast variety of decorative soft window treatments from draperies, side panels, roman shades and top treatments.
We’ve all sat on and purchased sofas and lounge chairs in a cavernous showroom, only to be disappointed when it gets delivered to our homes. Let us explain the ergonomics involved with personalized sizing and cushions, custom fabrics, finishes, and trim. The showroom sales person often doesn’t know more about the frame, construction, and support systems inside that upholstered piece than the prospective customer. We do. It really doesn’t get any better than this.
‘Casegoods’ refers basically to any furniture that isn’t padded with upholstered goods; i.e. tables, hutches, credenzas, etc in wood, metal, acrylic, whatever. The variety available today is almost limitless, but each particular need within a planned furniture grouping can be found in the perfect size and style when you have the world of home furnishings in your library. Let us find something that is perfect for you.
Accessories truly ‘finish’ the project, often tying together major elements of the planned room by color, shape, and texture. With the huge variety of area rugs in our library, we tend to think of them as a design accessory, although their importance in color, style, and function cannot be understated. Lighting can do the same thing, but the selection process usually begins with function. We suggest lighting from dozens of vendors that we have trusted for years, and some new ones that have spectacular designs.
Because of the variations in bed leg height, frames, box springs, and mattresses (with or without pillow tops), it’s easy to imagine how ill-fitting most ‘bed in a bag’ bedding can be. If you haven’t had ‘custom’ before, you won’t believe the difference! Let us delight you with a new center piece in your master hide-away.
It seems there are dozens of inexpensive to mid-level outdoor furniture lines available in stores up and down every Florida highway. It can get confusing, and weather durability is important in our extreme environment. That stated, your outdoor living/dining area doesn’t all have to come out of the same set, just as we recommend for any other ‘room’ of the house. An eclectic grouping of comfortable, casual seating and tables make for a very inviting entertainment area. And we can suggest furnishings that visually allow your interior spaces to flow gracefully onto the lanai.
